Biography
Jens Geisler studied "Machinenbau Informatik" (Dipl.-Ing. (FH)) and "Mechatronic Systems Engineering" (M.Sc.) at the FH Osnabrück. He then worked as a research assistant at the Chair of Control Engineering and Mechatronics (RtM) in Paderborn with Professor Dr.-Ing. habil. Trächtler. Geisler's fields of activity included working in the special research area "Self-optimising systems in mechanical engineering" (SFB614) and in the RailCab project. His subsequent dissertation was entitled "Self-optimising track guidance for a novel rail vehicle". From 2010 to 2019, Geisler worked as a Senior Expert Control Engineer at Senvion GmbH in Rendsburg and was responsible for the development of dynamic control for wind turbines with a focus on grid support functions. He then worked for a year as a control engineer at DEIF Wind Power in Rendsburg.
Jens Geisler has been Professor of Control Engineering, Modelling and Simulation at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences since March 2020.
