Biography
Martin Soethe studied Energy- and Environmental Managemant at the University of Applied Science in Flensburg. In a semester abroad at the University of Southern Denmark he aquired a deeper understanding of corporate finance management and advanced marketing. His bachelor thesis was a comparative study about the economic benefits and limitations of leasing as compared to credit financing of biogas power plants. In his masterthesis, which was written as part of his work for the interdisciplinary research project VerNetzen, Martin Soethe developed detailed future wind onshore scenarios for Germany including socio-economic and ecological parameters using open source software and open data. By now he works at the ZNES Flensburg for the research project open_eGo.
