Biography
After graduating from high school, Marius Koepchen did a one-year voluntary service with the Cambodian environmental protection organization "Mlup Baitong". He then studied "Renewable Energies" at the Berlin University of Applied Sciences. During his studies he worked for the Reiner Lemoine Institute as a student assistant. There he also worked on his bachelor thesis on "Investigation of the influence of different orientation distributions of photovoltaic systems on electricity production".
He completed his master's degree at the University for Sustainable Development Eberswalde in the study program "Global Change Management".
He collaborated with the NGO "GenderCC-Women for Climate Justice" for his master's thesis "Men and the Biosphere - Developing an Analysis of Climate Protection Programs from the Perspective of Critical Masculinities Research".
Since April 2021, he has been working at the European University of Flensburg as a research assistant in the field of energy and environmental management, studying the transformation of energy systems from the perspective of feminist research.
