Biography
Fahim Sadat studied energy and environmental engineering at the Technical University of Hamburg-Harburg and completed his master's degree at the end of 2016. In cooperation with the Spanish research institute Center for Energy, Environment and Technology (CIEMAT), he investigated the efficiency of solar thermal seawater desalination at the Plataforma Solar de Almeria in his master's thesis.
From 2017-2021, Fahim Sadat worked as a research assistant at Flensburg University of Applied Sciences. As part of the collaborative project ANGUS II, he analyzed the integration of geological storage formations into the future energy system. The aim of this deployment optimization was to derive an economically optimal storage operation for an energy system with a high share of renewable energies. The correspondingly developed deployment model of the geological compressed air storage is published here.
