Evaluation of a steam turbine concept for systems with high expected partial load operation

For a supplier of steam turbines a special shaft concept is analyzed, which is supposed to be superior to conventional concepts for partial load operation. The aim is to assess the market prospects of this concept. Accordingly, both technical and economic criteria are evaluated.
